I just obtained a Case I think its a VAI. Do you know of any direct links that would be able to give me some information. Such as year, model, wiring, 6volt/12volt, direct positive/negative.

This tractor has been sitting for about 12 years. It currently isnt running but its in real nice shape. I am thinking it was a parade stomper it has a aruga horn under the hood. I picked up this tractor for a song and was hoping to tinker a bit and get her all fixed up!!

Thanks in adavance!!

I think you need to repaint it. The Desert Sunset color did"t start being used until the number series tractors and carried through the 30 series. The V series, S series, Dseries, and LA were Flambeau all over. Otherwise nice looking little tractor!

The VT casting numbers signify a VA series tractor. The tag that you are talking about should have more numbers stamped in it. You may have to remove old paint to find them.

Thats just it....There is not alot of old paint. The tag is clearly visable and cleary stamped only 1810. This makes no sence to me. I can not figure out her year. Perhaps if I took a few pictures to share someone could help me!!

It came from factory as 6 volt Positive ground...many were changed over the years...double check by looking at the coil, if the wire from the terminal marked + goes to distributor it is still positive ground.

Your VAI was factory equiped with that horn. It was 6 volt. subtract four from the first two numbers of the seven digit serial number to find the year.

I can not seem to find the serial number. There is a stamped plate that shows where it was manufactured with the numbers 1810 stamped into it. There are alot of casting of part numbers all starting with VT all over it. But nothing I see starting with 46-59. I need a voltage regulator, for starters and a battery...then let the fun begin!!
