I have a 580 B with a shuttle that will not engage.I think the tranny is ok. I will attach a picture of the valve unit. Any ideas where to start?

I had the same heartburn with my 580B last year. At the welcomed advice from others , I changed everything but the air in the tires. The problem ended up being worn discs in the shuttle pack. Good luck. I have the master manual on the 580B. Let me know if I can foward info to you.

Is the oil level full in the torque tube where the converter is located? Oil filter in front of the radiator clean? What are the torque converter pressure readings? Pressure should be 170-190 PSI. Is the pressure regulator plunger free in the bore? (located near the valve spools) If all else fails, you may want to consider purchasing a repair manual from a Case Industrial dealer. They have hefty price, but believe me, it's worth every penny. Yes, I have one.
