Capacities for Case 530 hoe

Hi all,

I have a Case model 32 backhoe attachment on my AC crawler. This is the same hoe fitted to the Case 530 Construction King. Anyone have an idea of how much weight I can lift with the hoe? I am thinking of doing a retaining wall with concrete blocks and they weigh 2000lbs each.

Randy

I could not find any specs on lifting capacity for the #32 hoe. The loader on the 530CK is rated for 2900 lbs (fully extended) and the digging force rating of the hoe is 8760 lbs. I suspect it would lift the 2000 lbs but how far extended before stability became a problem is the main question. Depends on the weight of your crawler and whether or nut you are using the stabilizers. A trial run would seem reasonable.

Won't do it. Our 580CK (which runs quite good) has a 33 Hoe, it can't lift a filled 20.8x34 wheel & tire assembly unless the weight is really close to the stabilizer arms. The hoe lifts it OK but a dirt filled loader bucket is not enough counter-weight. Instead of the wheel lifting the front of the tractor & loader lift instead.

Today's Featured Article - It's Alright Where It Is! - by Anthony West. I have a tale of a different kind to tell. Whilst rooting in the hedge bottoms this week I had cause to visit Chapel lane Farm, the home of an eccentric gentleman by the name of Austin Kendall. I had heard rumours that an old Case Model C was languishing away in the back of one of the outbuildings there. So off I went in search of what would turn out to be a very rare and unusual tractor. Mr Kendall is an excitable chap to say the least. He is amongst the last of a dying breed of farmer who ... [Read Article]
