It looks like the studs for the manifold clamps on the 800LP heads (A8500) are smaller threads than the gas or later 30 searies. Is this correct and what size should they be? Does anyone have a set they could part with? Thanks.

got them in better lighting. Looks like they must be the same as the 800/730's ect. Need to get a tap and clean them out. They must have used lock-tight in them and its goofed up the 1st couple of threads so the studs won't even start. Thanks for the help.

The manifold clamp studs are the same for all 700 and 800 engines, both gas, LP and diesel... Gene

Thanks Gene, I thought they should be. These LP heads actually came from a 600LP (sorry should have mentioned that). Were the 400/600LP heads (or gasers) different? I would guess they were not BUT darn"d if the 800 gas or 730 gas studs will go in. Thanks again.

We broke a manifold stud on our 800 Gasser a couple of years ago and the Dealer couldn't come-up with a replacement. So, we simple made one from a too-long course thread grade-8 bolt. Cut off the head to make it the right length and die-cut fine threads for the manifold clamp and nut.
Cost: $1.29
