42 LA clutch problem

Help, just got a 42 LA. Can not get the clutch lever to release. Started & loaded fine about 3 weeks ago & was not transported with it in gear. Don't know when the clutch was engaged, but now cannot get it to release. Acts like it is froze. Tractor was setting outside for the last 6 months. Was in tool shed prior to that. Suggestions, comments anyone??? Thanks, Chuck

Chuck I bought my old dc to put loader on with same problem worked some but not always My problem was broken pieces on the pressure plate where pull out and in over center dogs are. Have to split to correct. Going to try to get your pulley shaft out tommorrrow and junk the rear housing as i cannot store it all!!

remove the two covers on the bell housing where you can see what is going on inside where the clutch assembly is. Most likely something just stuck and needs a small tap or so to release it.
