Any idea on how much a Case D is worth?
I have not seen any to compare with in ads.

The tractor I looked at today was a 1949 D
No hyd and ok matched tires. Tracor has oiginal paint and very nice sheet metal and fenders. Was told that it runs. The guy wants $1,750. Does this sound like a good price?

I would say she should be a good running engine and generally a nice old tractor with every thing working good at that price. As if need to start doing alot to get it going good ie.waterpump, starter, mag, carh, head work, radiator etc,you can very fast get in too deep.I think 1200 clams and you got a bit of a cushion to enjoy it better. But if it is a solid runner go get it..... .

What model of d? d1 or d4? dc? Really depends on what it is and what your willing to pay. If its a good usable tractor and you like it it could be worth that. If its just going to need money pumped into it then you need to figure if its worth more than what YOU will get out of it should you decide to sell it. I've bought a tractor that other people would say i paid to much for but its lasted for years without repair and came with implements that made it earn its keep from day one so i feel very good with the purchase. Just my 2cents worth.
