Do you think I'd stand a chance with PS Pump off a mid '70's F250 pickup? I mean enough flow? I might have one just for the taking. I might be able to mount it to the left side of the engine and use a extra long accesory belt driving water pump alternator and the PS pump. bjr

ford pump should be good...may not be as much flow but still better than plain ''armstrong'' steering.

Re: Old Ford Pickup PS pump and eagle hitch . in reply to BCnT, 05-31-2007 07:10:21
Well that sets it then, I'll go rip it off the old rig take as many of the brackets and hoses and see if I can duplicate one of road warrior machines (being funny here). But it should get me going again without major expense.

Kinda OT. I've been tryin' to find some info on the eagle hitch and what the good and bad points of it are. I've done searches all over and haven't found anything. The one thing I noticed is on the tractor is the lower arms fixed solid for no sideways movement so kinda limits the inside measurements of attachments that can be hooked to. Any history on the eagle hitch would be appreciated. bjr
