I have a 900 that I pull. It has too much compression for the starter with the timing I"m trying to run in it. I need a gear reduction starter for it so It will be easier to start. Does anyone know where to find one. Thanks, russell.

Gas or diesel engine? Gas I would suspect. They are small. Don L.

Starter from a 504 power shift should fit. You might have to change the drive gear. If you have a diesel it needs to spin fast to start. If it is gas speed is not as critical.

we modify a Toyota truck diesel starter, add a seal, and cast a different mounting plate. They work great! But unfortunately we are in Cambodia. It looks a lot like the Case skid loader starters for the bigger models. LOL

Have you tryed an Ignition interupt switch.

If your tractor is like race cars I have been around with high compression you need to kill/interupt the ignition and get it spinning over then turn on the ignition.

It works.

Might try 24 volts.
