have a 900lp. this is the first lp tractor i have ever been around, so i have a few questions. first, i have a leak on the main line into the reg. and i cant figure out how to bleed it off so i can fix it. even with the valves on the tank shut it still keeps coming out. even started it and drove it with valves off and wouldnt quit running. second, there is what seems to be a choke on the mixer, is that what it is or what? third, i have been told that there is a procedure to starting and running it, by that i mean the vapor and liquid valves on the tank. any help would be appreciated as i have never even been around propane tractors before. thanks.

It sounds like your valves need repaired or replaced if gas keeps flowing after shutting them off. To start it when the engine is cool you must have the vapor on. Or both but the vapor has to be on no matter what when starting it cool as the reg/heat exchanger will only work when the engine is warmed up as it uses the coolant to heat up the liquid to make it into vapor. After the engine is warmed up you can and should shut the vapor off and just leave the liquid on. That will help with fuel economy some.
