Hi All -

I have a chance to buy a first year 411 on propane. It needs a rear rim. Are those pretty easy to find? Or special for that model?

Also, is the PTO live? Or tied to the clutch like on a VAC??

Were they a pretty good utility tractor??

I have a VAC for mowing, but it is a little weak in heavy grass. Plus, I don't like the way the PTO operates...

Thanks for any comments,
Howard

Is it a 411 or a 411B (Case-o-matic)? Rims for either should be easy to find.

It depends on which 411 it is. Is it the one built between 55 and 57 with 2 cylinder heads or the 411b that was built 58,59 and was a Case-O-Matic tractor. If it has 2 heads it would have good live pto.

Thanks for the info. Would it be a lot more powerful than a VAC?? Would the 3 point lift be a lot stronger than VAC?

The fenders are pretty rusted - are they specific to that model? Or common across several models?

I'll keep that in mind, Barry - my little brother has in-laws and farm ground at Postville, IA, and still has some things to haul back down this way...

Thanks again,
Howard

I have a 38 inch rim here in northwest Iowa.
