all these guy's are raving about JD 8630's and the sister tractor's,
I was wondering if there was a comparison between them?
2670, VS 8630?
Was either one better than the other?
Or just different?
I know they were in the same yrs, Ive diven my uncles 8630, but not his 8870,
Id like to try his 8870, but he has a hired man already but he got laid up cause of an accident on my uncle's 4 wheeler,
chasing cow's in a field,
So,,,, Go figure?

should be pretty close in reply to Kirk in Ks,, 04-28-2007 04:59:48
The old 504 in a 2670 should not have too much trouble hanging with an 8630

Now see,,,?
that's what i thought too,
i thought they were pretty close in spec's,
Personally,,, I like the Case better,
I think it was a FAR BETTER DESIGN THAN THE JD,
But alot of guy's out there went for the swing type steering, probably cause Case had the patent on the crab steering system.
Ive driven the other type of steering?
and I didnt like it as much as this Case.
I like the shorter wheel base of the Case alot better, cause you can turn shorter, As long as you watch WHERE YOUR TURNING,and not end up in a ball,
