Well, I finally bolted up the remote valve on my 830 yesterday, and today I finished hooking up the hoses. I fired up the tractor and didn't see any hydraulic leaks. Even better, the 3-point just leaps into action when I pull back the quadrant lever. I've been putting up with having to rev up the engine and wait for it to wake up for more than a year, now, so this is a great thing for me.

I messed with the remotes with nothing attached. Where before, it had bogged the engine and made a terrible whine, now there's just a slight noise from the relief valve I rebuilt. The only thing I'm not sure about is what's a good rule of thumb for setting the lowering speed. Seems like that would depend on the load you have on the 3-point.

Just thought I'd share. There's not much better feeling than everything going together and working right, and only other tractor guys would understand.
