anyone out there have info on changing out the valve stem on an 830 case rear tire. mine is leaking air and I tried to remove the inner core and it broke in two. Now I must remove the remainder of the stem. I have the stem at 12:00 O'clock and there is a ring around the stem that I have repeatedly sprayed wd40 and other liquids to loosen the threads. It's not moving too quickly. Anyone got any ideas. thanks and God Bless, Lorin

Lorin,
If you have ever tried to drill the hole in a washer (or small piece of metal) a little bit bigger you know what happens. Use that to your advantage. A guy I worked for once was putting air in a rear tire when stem disintegrated. I used a reversible drill with a bit slightly smaller than the diameter of the stem. Drilled in, put drill in reverse, and spun the rest of the stem right out. Had it fixed before the tire even went flat.

Lorin,
I meant the inner core of the stem.

That stem with the ring around it is the tube stem. It can't be removed by itself without destroying the tube. Concentrate on getting the inner core out & replacing it. Good luck!
