well I just got my radiator core off my parts tractor tested it does leak a little but not to bad. I think for the present (low on excess funds at present) I want to try and put it together and then add some kind of radiator sealer to the coolent. Hopefully this will let me finish putting the tractor together and get it to the point that it runs good, and then I will think about a new core. Also what kind of sealer should I use when I bolt the top and bottom tanks onto the core? Any down falls of doing this other then the fact that it might not seal and that I may have to take it apart twice? Thanks for the help.

GM has some tablets that work great for minor leaks. GM was having some coolant leaking problems and had a campgain out to uuse these. The techs on the GM and the ag side seem to think they do a great job. I work tomorrow so I'll try to post the GM part number.

As long as you have the core out,try soldering the leak. We stock the proper core to tank gaskets.

John"s right. You"ll spend 1/2 what the tractor is worth on a new core. Here is another thing you can do, it will really help! Get an old oil dipstick from a junkyard, one that is long enough and small enough to go through your radiator flues. Pound it straight, sharpen the end to a point, and start rodding it out. You will be amazed how many flues are plugged. You may have to work for quite some time to open them up. Keep a hose running on the flues and keep poking away at the blockage you"ll eventually break through.
