A friend bought at auction a 700 with a bad motor and trans with good tires and an 800 with a bad COM. Can the flywheel and clutch from the 700 be put in the 800 in place of the COM? Is the input shaft the same on both trans?

Roger.

Yes, the 700 flywheel and clutch will work on the 800 engine. You will have to use the center housing from the 700. Most likely cause of transmission troubles will be the hi-lo range gears in front of the transmission. The 800 gears lets the engine run a little faster.

Other parts will have to be changed such as the steering column and foot throttle, but with both tractors there, this will all be evident... Gene
