i'm posting for a neighbor. he's got this 1030 with a problem with the block, i think it's around the head and there is a divet or something(common problem on 1030's) does anyone know if block sealer will work for a temp. fix? it really sucks to just have it sitting around like a dead horse and can't do anything with it. will block sealer work? thanks

They can be fixed, but the problem with any sealer is that they tend to reduce cooling capacity, and that is deadly to a 1030. Best to pull off the head and see what the problem is, it may need shiming, a new sleeve, new head, or just a new head gasket. If you want to sell it contact me and the Cambodian orphans will fix it up. fmi@online.com.kh LOL!

i don't know exactly what the probelm is but it isn't the head gaskets. i think he said it was a manufacture flaw in the block that made it leak all the water out because that's what it's doing. it won't hold water for more than 15 mins. i will ask him what the problem is exactly and if he was gonna sell it. i'm located in polk county WIthanks DF
