Hi Guys(any gals?) I recently bought a 411b, my first experience with older Cases, and have a question about the PTO. I can't get it to turn on it's own. The shaft turns free by hand, and when you engage the lever, it locks up, but won't turn on it's own. Even when moving (I assume that shouldn't matter, don't these have live PTO's anyway?) Am I operating it wrong and missing something, or does it have a problem? Thanks for any help. Maybe someday I can return the favor on here!

Thanks, that was it, I would have never found that! Guess I need to order an operators manual.

Fireman John probably has it. That pin is located up near the top lefthand side of the pto housing. It is a round pin with a cap screw threaded in to the side of it. Pull it out to disengage pto, push it in to engage. If that don't work, you may need to adjust the pto clutch discs.

In the upper left I believe quarter there is a pin that you pull out about a quarter inch with a pry bar or something. It keeps it disengaged when you are not using it. They tend to spin some even when the lever is down and this must be to keep people from getting caught in it.
