C and DC manifolds

I have a distilate manifold on my C that I'd like to replace with a gas manifold from a DC. The exhaust manifold is paper thin or blown out on most of the gas manifolds that I've found. I haven't been able to compare, but does anyone know if the intake from the DC gas would bolt up to the exhaust of the C distilate manifold? If not, anyone have a good gas manifold you'd part with?? Is there a manifold out there that would be better than the gas manifold?

Thanks!

years ago I wanted better flow intake wise . I took a dc intake to local machine shop and had it drilled out 1/16 inch larger ( there is plenty of metal to do this on a DC) this seemed to help a lot with 400 carb which will bolt up to a DC . Mo TEC engieering at tipton ind has done real good on carbs for me also, and a good fellow to work with. Run 32 inches of exhaust pipe fron the exhaust valve to the top of exhaust and index the sparkplugs. Makes those 2 cylinder tractors run to find a hole to hide in.

I have a couple of used dc manifolds to sell as need to clean out my stock (junk. Why not just change both together??

I'd change them both together if the price was right and in decent condition. My exhaust seems fine, I'd just like to get a little better air flow and temp, and I've been told the gas manifold will perform better. The manifolds that I've seen have a decent intake, but the exhaust needs to be replaced. I see new exhaust manifolds for sale on e-bay for around $180 which is great, I'm just trying to find the most inexpensive solution.

I might be interested in an entire manifold. E-mail me with details.

I will trade you even as I plan on redoing my C-C at some point in the future, I have been saying this for 3 years now , but I really do plan on it this fall. I am sure I have a good set as I looked this AM and have them off a 52 DC.lets trade the whole thing exhaust and intake. Would it be fair to ask you to pay the freight both ways? 307 532 3999

THe basic answer to your question is... Yes, the intakes will interchange.

If you don't want to spend the $$$ for a new one, you might also check with Don Livingston to see if he has a good used one.

How solid is your distillate intake? If it's in usable condition, I might be interested in it for my CC.

I'll try to get a picture of it and e-mail it to you to check out. If I can find a replacement to go in its place I'd part with it with no problem.

Thanks.
