Guys, power is not the big issue for me, overheating is a concern. What would happen if I put a 930 diesel pump on a 1030, besides less power?? Would it run ok? Would it have more or less power than a stock 930? What about heat?
Thanks!

Camboted - best thing I did for my 1030 was to put the later model 6 blade radiator fan on. New radiator too, but you can hear that fan coming down the road! No longer gets hot.

They may be the same pump. Just rpm and fuel delivery are different. We have books that tell what plungers are in the pump. The numbers are on the SN plate if you know how to read it.

In theory, you would get a few more horses because of the larger bore sucking more air. I would think you could get the same result by just turning down the 1030 pump. You probably aren"t talking that much difference in fuel delivery.. Maybe someone with some injection pump experience will weigh in on this. Sorry I can"t help more, Ted.
