Did anyone see the VAO-15 that was on Ebay last week? What makes the VAO-15 differant from the VAC-14?

The vao15 has a solid bar non adjustable front axil, the rear axils are bar axels but are short and no room to slide the wheels in and out, The lights are mounted down on the front axel. Of course the fenders and skirting had some options on the orchard.

I believe you are right on the tube axil in front. By it being narrower though I'm not sure just how much adjustment you realy had. The rears are adjustable in that you can mount the hubs dished in or out and can mount the rims to the inside or outside for a few options on spacing but the axils were just long enough for the hub to clamp on to them.

Just some add on to Wheat Straw's post. The VOA-15 was a low profile tractor like the VAC-14. Shorter steering wheel shaft, lower seat, air intake stack below the hood, usually underslung exhaust, low profile shifter, foot boards at the bottom of the transmission, etc. The ones I've seen had 24" tires.

We all know that Case tractors in this era had no brakes, so the the low profile tractor was produced so short guys like me could reach the ground and drag one foot.

Joe are you saying that the VAO-15 has a shorter steering shaft than the VAC-14? Does the shifter lay forward like a Vao or stand straighter up like the later VAC-14? The 24" rear wheels are the made like the VAI wheels or like the VAC wheels? Did they make 26" rear wheels for the VAO-15?

The comparsion I was making in the steering wheel height was VAC-13 verus VAO-15. Parts manual has different p/n's for VAO-15 and VAC-14 steering shafts, steering column p/n is the same for both. I don't know how the steering shafts differ, perhaps in length?

Parts book lists 26" rim Like this ... "G10237 - rim w/5 lugs, 13-26 tires (VAOI5)" .... Guy in this area has 2 VAO-15 trailer queens that are at every tractor show I been to, they both have 24" rims.

Pix is my VAC-13 with a shifter apparently off a VAO-15 or VAC-14. Shifter is in neutral, mark on the stick is 11" from the bottom end. Shifter measures 9-1/2" from boot to top of ball.
