My question is where can I find crank shaft bearings for my 1948 Case LA. Undersized/oversized? Main bearings? 10-20-30-40?

Thanks in advance for your help.

Do know what size you want your message asked for all sizes are you planning on going into business selling them or do you have a lot of Case LAs with bad bearings.
You know you can remove shims and tighten these type up. Walt

Walt, as perhaps you deduced, I don't know a damn thing about bearings. I'm not planning on going in the bearing business and I only have one LA, which belonged to my grandfather. My Dad is the mechanic. I'm the financier. I think we have the bearing thing figured out now, though.

Dan, I'm hoping Dad knows a little more than you do. giggle. No these old tractors are pretty simple things to work on and very good way to learn the basics. Keep working with your Dad and someday you may to become a backyard mechanic. You might want to go E-Bay and pickup a service manual for the tractor they are on there all the time be sure to get a case manual not an I&T one.
