I am looking for a generator for a Case VC we just bought. We were told it"s a "42. Does anyone know where I might find one? We also need a PTO shield for this tractor and for a "41 DC. Any info would be appreciated.

Seems like I might have one but can't tell for sure until the 8" of snow in the 'boneyard' melts. :-)

Brandon; Generators used on the V series were Auto-Lie gas-4160a,, gas 4162a,, gbm-4804a-5 or a Delco- Remy 1101366. I have 2 VC tractors that have early ford 6 volt generators with remote regulators and they work good. My V has been converted to 12 volt and has a hydraulic pump mounted on top of it for live hydraulic.

I probably have a couple VC generators laying around, but don't want to part with them... Gene

Thanks. I appreciate the information. Since you have some VCs, is there a way I could get a picture of the hood above the radiator from you? Ours has been cut and we'd like to see what the original looked like. We'd also like to see what the latch on the battery compartment looked like. Ours is a nail welded to a key...don't think it came off the line that way! We'd also like to find a PTO cover for this tractor.

Does anyone know of any books on this model? I can't find anything on line.

Thanks again.
