Ok CaseOmatic Wizards ,, The radiator cooling line is restricted with black beetle bugs ,, A few years back, when I started this rebuild project. I Bought the durn radiator off salvagers the shelf , Who knows maybe bugs got in there while under my care ,Thats what I get for not being able to stay focused on the project , Regardless , The pump is cranking out 175 psi ,I have plumbed the pump to backwash tranny fluid thru the radiator into a bucket ,the tranny lines have always been closed ,and therfore clean ,So far got about 4 beetles ,with some improvement in flow , DOES ANYONE KNOW How is this cooling line made in the radiator? Is it straight in line size or does it balloon into a 2 inch cavity for greater cooling ability , Any ideas ? Thanx Jim

Could you backfill the cooling passage with something that might dissolve the bugs but leave the cooling assembly intact? Carburetor cleaner comes to mind. Not sure it would eat the bugs (again, might be worth testing on one of those that came out) but it"s probably better than having them in there.

Hope this helps.

On the 800 series tractor I don't know but the small tractor 400 and 600 are tube in the bottom of radiator the 530 and 630 used one round tube and the tube is open in center to the water. If you to blow air back through the oil port be careful not to blow to much presure ,,you could make an leak in side Radiator. 200 lbs be max presure. Bugs might gotton into oil though the fill hole or bugs in oil?? good luck.John
