Started my 530 today after 2 wks of below 0. While it was warming up oil began flowing from the breather on the rear end. Never had this happen in 14 yrs. Any ideas why? The oil flow did decrease as I moved round bales and snow drifts.

I Concur with Roger s prognosis ,,, You do what you want , Before I would tear into this tractor , I would try some Lucas hub sealer to see if it would give new life to the piston seals . And leave the wreches alone .seal Parts kit is about $ 60 , And a headache to get the new seals and piston back in the barrell, Lucas about 10.. Good Luck ,Jim

Replace the rock shaft piston seal. in reply to skip64, 02-11-2007 16:58:46
The piston seal on the 3 point lift is defective. Remove the rockshaft cover, remove the piston, and replace the piston seal. Hydraulic oil from the torque tube has transferred into the rearend. The rearend should have 90W gear lube. Obviously, its over full and diluted with hydraulic oil. Drain the extra oil out of the rearend and bring it down to its proper level. Do not use it for heavy work until you've replaced all of the diluted oil.
