I have located a case 1938 RC. Its in rough shape, needs new tires and the engine is stuck. It looks to be all there but she need a lot of work. Can you Case guys give me an idea of a fair price for this tractor.

Is the RC styled ou unstyled? Does it have a 3 speed or 4 speed trans? Does it have a starter and generator? Parts for the Waukasha motor are a little expensive. If it has all the above and the motor is useable the price sounds fair to me.

The asking price is $450, but that sounds like a bit much for the shape it's in, I don't know case tractors very well {born and raised with the green in me}. So I'm not sure if its a good price or if I should try to talk him down.

That's a pretty expensive boat anchor. I'd keep looking if I were you. I've seen them go for that much and run good too.
