I plowed snow for about 3 hours a couple of weeks ago. When I finished I pulled the tractor in the shop and there it sat for about another week. Last Friday I pulled it out, dropped the blade, and pulled it right back in to change a rear wheel seal. After I changed the seal out, I started it up to hook the blade back on. The tractor wont move. The pto is running so it has to be the hand clutch. My question is this: Why would it work fine one minute and go out an hour later sitting in the same spot? The clutch has never slipped before, when I was pushing snow, I was lugging it down so hard it would almost kill the tractor. The hand clutch feels the same as it always has, not great, but seems to snap over center and the hydraulic fluid level is at the mark, no expensive noises coming from anywhere. It just wont move, doesnt even attempt to move.

OK, OK, So heres the deal. After I got home from work last night and figured out what I had done, I was really hoping that no one would reply to this post so I wouldnt have to come clean and tell everyone what happened, But NOOO, everyone here has to be soooo helpful and caring and concerned with my problem. Well anyway, I was sitting in the shop last night starring at the tractor thinking Whats the deal with this thing?, Its like its in neutral or something. Then it hits me like a ton of bricks, when I was loosing the bolts on the wheel clamp, I needed to turn the wheel over, so I reached up and slapped the triple range into neutral, by the time I got the seal out, the trip to town and the whole thing back together again, it completely slipped my pea brain. Thanks to all for your input and ideas. Maybe I should change my handle from 630crazy to id-10-t.

BTW If anyone needs the rear axel seal for a 630 or a 530(utility), my local bearing warehouse has them in stock for $14.00 bucks. Federal-Mogul part #415962. CNH would probably want $40.00 for the same thing.

Thats funny. Reminds me of the time my 611B wouldn't start one morning. I had the carburetor off, apart, and back on two times before I realized there was no gas in the tank.

Not to be silly here, but did you make sure the triple range selector didn't pop out of gear. Mine will do that on occasion for no reason.
Hopefully its something so simple that it gets overlooked.
