Don't understand the hassle about flambeau and power red. Have a set of DO orchard fender extensions that were taken off new and stored. The power red from the Case dealer I am using is almost an exact match and much closer than some of the paint shop mixes I have seen. It is good paint and can be brushed on the cast parts or sprayed and is reasonably priced.

I don't understand the comments some of you people always have about Flambeau Red.
It is NOT the same as Power Red and Power Red does NOT look good with Desert Sand like it does Power White. Also, I have never gotten Flambeau Red from the Case dealer when purchasing Power Red.
And if you don't care what color you paint your tractor, then fine, paint it pink with purple polka dots for all I care, but for the rest of us, we'd like for Case to get their heads out of their *** and get it right.
All I ask, is if it's Power Red, they should put Power Red on the label. If it's Flambeau Red, then put Flambeau Red on the label. That means two different part numbers.
We all know that somewhere along the way, some dumb *** who was in charge of procuring paint for Case's parts depots, figured Power Red was close enough and they only have to stock one color instead of two.
Now we have two colors floating around the country under one label and one part number. Adding to the confusion, I'll bet what parts depot your dealer is serviced by determines what color your actually going to get. It's too bad that Case thinks so little of it's customers, that after near 30 years of painting tractors, harvesters and implements by the 100s of thousands in Flambeau Red, that they think they can pass off Power Red on us and we're not going to notice or care when restoring our tractors and machinery.
Theres no reason both colors shouldn't be on the shelf side by side in cans, quarts and gallons in every dealership. Worse yet, a guy shouldn't have to spend a half hour every time he tries to purchase paint, educating the parts man on the difference while he searches his numbers in the book and tells you, "CaseIH says Power Red is close enough and so thats all they have us stock. They don't even offer Flambeau Red", and he seriously expects you to buy Power Red and be happy about it. He may even feel good about himself for "helping" another customer while you go out the door with no paint and still steaming.
I'll bet you wouldn't see the John Deere guys being told to put pea green paint on their tractors and also be told by John Deere that it's close enough.
One other thing. If you ask 100 school kids to look at their big box of crayola crayons, I'll bet most can tell the difference between Orange (Allis), Orange-Red (Flambeau), Red-Orange (Power Red), and Red (IH). I sound like I'm mad, but I'm not, just sorely dissappointed AGAIN with the way we Case people get jerked around by a company who doesn't care about it's customers who have been loyal to Case for generations.

Just inserting a thought. Clasic Green and Ag Green are side by side on the JD shelf. Spray cans, and gallons co-existing in harmony, makes you feel good knowing they get along so well. I am really new to CASE, so I am not taking sides yet, but seems like if JD can do it, case should be able to also. My two cents

Are you talking about Flambeau Orange, Power Orange, Flambeau Red, or Power Red? I'd bet if you asked 100 3rd grade kids what Flambeau or Power Red is, they'd say "orange". Paint it whatever color you want, nobody really cares one way or the other.

Here's the deal Power Red and Flambeau Red are two totally different collors. What CNH sells as Power Red is actually Flambeau Red. How do you think it would look to purchase a can of Power Red from your CNH dealer to touch up an Agri King?

Duane,

I think he got his tang all tongled up .

I have had fresh cans of both colors open at

the same time and power red is much more red.

Power red is for the 70 & 90 series tractors,

flambeau is for 30 series and older .
