I want to extend a big Thank you to everyone who has forwarded information regarding old Case dealerships recently. I am doing a home show this weekend and as such have been unable to answer everyone individually. I am continually pleased by the support given to my project by the people on this Board. Now if the average day only had 30 hours! Don

Thanks! I found out about Wersing by accident about 1 year ago. He was the Case dealer through most of the 70's. His Father was the Case dealer in the 1940's and most of the 50's.

I have a little over 1000 dealers. That may sound impressive but in 1951 Case had 4000 dealers. Tom has graciously offered me a look at the build cards and I intend to take him up on the offer as soon as I can possibly do it. I wish I could do this full time as this is kinda like detective work. Don

Hi Don. I talked to my brothers last night and find that Mr Don Barnes was the first manager of the Case Power and equip store in Sioux City Iowa on highway 75 north. There were dealers in Kingsley, Correctionville, and Holstein Iowa during the 1950's. Let me Know if you need more info.Barry

You are correct about the towns w/dealers. Paulin in Kingsley, Strawn and Sons in Correctionville. Don't know the name in Holstein. Also LeMars (Red and Sonny Becker) Remsen (unknown) Ida Grove (unknown),Kiron (Kollbaum Bros.), Danbury (Barry Imp. Co.) Ricketts, an old dealer from the 20's had a Case Threshing rig and a Case car. Retired about 1960. There must have been dealers closer to Sioux City, perhaps Rodney, Oto, or Climbing Hill. There should have been a dealer every 7-10 miles in the late 40's. Thanks again for your help. Don

Hi Don. The last dealer in Correctionville was Creek farm supply or Creek Imp. the 56 Ford truck they used is still in a construction yard north of town. The last dealer in Holstien was Mickelson. Our 53 DC3 and 300 with a 4 row cultivator came from there. Barry.
