Few questions about DI Case...

How many were made and how many years?
Hard to find?
How much are they worth?
Did they ever make a DI-Military?? Found a DI and looks like numbers were painted on the hood at some time, but are very hard to read now.

I believe there were a number of DI's used for various highway departments. These may also have had numbers stenciled onto the hood. There may be a brass tag found somewhere on the tractor identifing which particular municipality had purchased the tractor.

According to "Full Steam Ahead" 8,103 DI's and 445 DI Narrow Treads were built between 1940 and 1953. There is no breakout of military tractors in the records.
