I question came to me, I could not answer. Did they ever make a "standard tread" version of the Case 400 "Super Diesel"?? Hummmm. I believe the western special ,is a cat by itself.

A Special could have a hand clutch. A rare one for sure

I found the answer. It is yes. They made a 400 Super Diesel Standard, and a 400 Special Super Diesel Standard. Page 299 in 150 years of Case. Very rare for sure.

Don, You and I talked this morning about that as well as my 600. You won"t believe this but I found the right air cleaner cap for the 600 this afternoon on a 509 power unit.
