On my 1030 when the battery is hooked up and the key is off the generator light comes on and the filter light about half way, Then when the key is turned on gen. light goes off and filter light is on bright like it should. When running all lights are out like they should. The gen.is charging, just had it rebuilt. Any Ideas ? Thanks

Could be a wire on backwards on your gen or ign switch. Or maybe a short w/ 2 wires touching. Brian

Brian has good advise, and you may want to try re-polarizing the generator/regulator. You said it was just serviced, it might be the problem. Good luck.

Check your grounds or maybe your ignition switch is bad. It cant be too many things. Good Luck! Brian
