I have used a pump off a case combine which had a d series motor for years on my 49 dc 4 loader tractor. Pump will lift more that the tractor should stand. If you look at the deere (gasp) diagram of their live pump for the b a &g series you can see how its possible to use the hyd resivor (sp) on your sc ,Provider it has non live hyd. plum out the drain with suciffent size hose ( prefer three quarters inch or 1 inch) to the suction side of the pump. Then an add on valve or more ( I use a 3 way for lift and dump bucket as well as remote cylinder). Plumb the return back to the s hyd reservior through the filter on the lower right om the hyd. If done right you can still use the normal non live hyd at the same time using a tee into the return line

I have one on an early SC. Works OK, but for lifting equipment it is kinda slow. The system on mine is a Char Lynn. Designed for power steering only. DK
