Engine cranks fine but when I press the clutch the tractor will not go into any of the 4 gears, it only makes grinding noise. I had been using the same day, no problems. Any help appreciated.

sounds like one of the spools in the control valve may be sticking and not letting the pressure dump and release a clutch. Check and adjust the linkage first. If that doesn't work, put some gauges on the control valve and check pressures. These things are complicated!
