Have a very wobbly fan assembly with traces of antifreeze dripping from housing. Anyone with info, clues, precautions, shortcuts or other useful info they are willing to share would be appreciated. Are rebuilt units as good as new units? Is $65.00 a resonable price for a new unit? Thanks in advance for any and all help. I do need to get it up and going as it is my snowplowing tractor and one of these days I will need it to do its thing.

A local Automotive water pump repair facility could probably install new bearing and seal for about $40.00 thats what it cost for my JD 3020 good luck.

$65.00 is a good price for a water pump.

Go for it! I paid that much for a rebuild kit for a 401. If you can get a new pump and have nothing to worry about such as impeller wear or clearance, it's well worth it. There's probably a warrenty with it too!. Chris
