I have an 800 COM that we are rebuilding and the selector valve, which is supposed to have two settings, diret and COM, pulls out to far if you continue to put pressure on the handle. All that the valve has internally are the spring loaded ball detents. Is there supposed to be some kind of mechanical stop on the handle? The control handle is a homemade affair.

www.caseihparts.com show a stop plate on both spools, A11507 & A11509 held on with snap rings.

I think there is supposed to be a stop on clutch spool that will also move COM spool back from direct drive to COM.
