Being here in Iowa, ethanol fuel is dominant. Will ethanol hurt my DC engine, or can it handle it. Mine is the dual-fuel head. Thanks.

Thank you for the info. It's my first tractor, so I'm still learning.

It will run just fine, and will cause no damage to the engine. I have run one of mine on E85, and that works fine in warmer weather. When it gets below 10 degrees I cannot get the carb. to open enough though. The 10% ethanol is almost the same thing as gas with 1 can of heet to 1 gallon of gas. You will never have trouble with iced up gas lines.

This summer ,A group of Patriots in Our area made some homegrown ranging from 150 to 185 proof ,, We poured a mixture of this with 2 parts gasoline ,which already has 10% alcohol added ,, Ran it in my 1954 SC , We adjusted the Zenith carb air valve about 1 full turn in ,and opened the fuel jet about a turn , And it never ran smoother ,,. We have a toy ethanol Plant here , for Educational purposes ,, I FIRMLY BELIEVE THAT YOU CAN EXPECT A STEADY DECLINE IN THE QUALITY OF LIFE IN AMERICA UNTIL WE LEARN HOW TO FUEL OURSELVES , IF WE CAN BOLDLY ANnOUNCE THAT WE desire to PUT A MAN ON THE MOON IN 10 YEARS and do it ! ,,, WE CERTAINLY CAN ATTAIN THIS GOAL FREEDOM thru ethanol IN 5 YEARS , Thats my stump speech ,,I hope it is YOUR Dream as WELL !! ,,,BLESSINGS ,JIM
