There is a guy that has a "49 Case SC for $600. It runs but is stuck in first gear. I"ve never like tricycles which is what it is. But I do love the layout of these tractors. This would be the only ecception to my no tricycle rule. I was woundering how hard it would be to change it from a tricycle configuration to a wide front. Is it a bolt on thing or is the frame different?

Bolt on if you can find an AWF. The problem is that item is probably going to cost you as much as the tractor. They are hard to find for an SC.

Is the wide front the same on the sc as any of the other case models, such as DC, VAC, etc.?

Well, I guess I could just leave it as-is for now and when I run across someone parting one out I could change it. If I even buy it. I'm going to look at it tommorrow. Its on e-bay and noone has bid on it. He said it would ba alright if I came and looked at it. He's only about 45 minutes from where I live. I'm going to go look at it before work.

I only have five and a half acres. Mostly i"d only use it for mowing grass a playing around the property. I"ve been doing a little clearing each year. It would pretty much just be another toy.

I saw it on Ebay it looks to be pretty complete. Narrow fronts have their advantages and disadvantages, depending on what type of work you are doing.
