Can someone tell me the build years for the 600 combine? I am going to look at one next week. What are some major items to look at in particular that were wear points on this machine? (Like drive components)
In general, I was told it was shedded, has been used last year. Has 10' grain table. Thanks

you have been told some good info let me add check lower variable sheaves for slack in splines shaker pan pivot bushings look in the hyd tank up by the engine see if breather has oil in filter on cap then look at fluid be sure its clean lot ofpeople clean these in gas like your supposed to do but they doent dip it oil afterward to make the steelwool filter out dirt and chaf very important as hyd pumps are getting harder to find one guy said belts we a problem but I still get them from case they are not cheap but I have anew set for each of my 14 running machines also any one that has the shakerpan units 600-960 be sure to keep the debris from along side of theses pans as it will build to the point it will break the shaker shaft in time I find my pressure washer with a sold stream nozzle and header removed and a couple hours does the job hope this helps let me know if you have any other questions Tom PS always grease the variable sheaves at least every 2-4 hours depending on how much you speed up and down also depress your clutch when you shut of the engineto avoid unnessary wear on drive system

This model was made in the early sixies and was replaced with the 660 about 1965 year. Major things I look for when I buy these old machines is of coarse the motor, how solid is the grain tank, auger troughs, see if they are roited through. Just over all condition. I usaully give 200-500 bucks for one.

I'm guessing 1961-1964?? They were a pretty basic machine, just look for standard wear, belts may be hard to find.
