I am just wondering what was the first Case tractor that had the Case-O-Matic transmition? I had always thought it was the 800 but i was reading on Case's web site and it says that the Case-O-Matic came out in 1956 and 800s weren't made until 1958, and I though maybe a few the 400s had it. Some of them say they have the Draft-O-Matic and I am not sure what that is any help would be appriciated.

Case tested the Case-O-Matic in a few 400 tractors before 1958 and then was introduced in the later square front series tractors

Hi. Draft-O-Matic was Case's draft control used with mounted implements like plows. It was installed on the 30 series tractors in the sixtys with and when they installed the 3PT hitch. Hope this helps. Charley.

The 400B, 600B, and 800B, all out in the 1958 model year. The premiere was in December of 1957 in Phoenix Arizona.
