Gentlemen a few years ago Dad changed the oil in our 930 CK and then proceeded to disc with it most of the day. One thing he didn't notice was a small oil leak. The tractor bogged down and he said he shut it off right away, but the tractor is now ceased. Come to find out he didn't tighten the drain plug all the way and the tractor ran low on oil. Yes I know one of those things that makes you sick to your stomach. We tried to pull it to get it to turn over, but no go. How can we tell if we ruined the crank. Is there anything out there we can try to free the ole girl up. Out of the four we have this is by far our nicest 930. Only 2000 hours.

Those old cranks are tough. Might not have damaged the mains. Could just be the rod bearings and journals. The pick-up tube came off of the oil pump on my dad's tractor and it did the same thing. He heard it laboring so he shut it off. When he did it seized. The machine shop wouldn't touch the main journals. Said they were dead on factory spec's. The rod journals only needed 0.020 but it needed it on every one of them. Dad put it back together with same main bearings and it lasted until he sold it about 7 or 8 years later. The guy that bought it from Dad used for 2 or 3 years more before he sold it. Be sure to follow Don L's advice below. All caps go back in the same location and in the same direction.

If it seized up under load at high power setting its a fair bet the crank will be hurt, might be able to turn it, might have to replace it...Cams seem to be less sensitive maybe cause they only turn half the crank speed....definately a stomache turner...sorry

It does sound like somethings spun or melted and it's completely seized up. Don't try pulling it anymore, you could overstrain/damage other parts too. Consider just swapping engines with one of your others if you want to put off the bad news (and it'll probably be bad). With sympathy.

If it ran out of oil and locked up the crankshaft will need to be inspected along with the camshaft and everthing else. you said it ran out of power, everyone I`ve ever seen do that needed a rebuild.

Drop the oil pan and take off the rod and main caps, pull the half bearing out and inspect. All caps have to stay in the place and in the same direction. Overall it shouldn't take to long, the oil is allready drained out.[lol] Good luck.
