I got my 830 stuck between 1st and 2nd. I took off the shifter cover but can not see in very well.I guess the platform needs to come off. What may be my problem?

BEK Got a 730CK
SAME shifting.
What usually happens is the shifter gets wore on the end. it can be built up with weld.
Now keep in mind that the forks wear also but generally you can leave them alone.
If you have the shifter out take a pointed bar all maybe 16--20in that is kind of blunt go down through the opening.telt your bar toward right fender as you go down through an you can feel for that slot.you'll be able to tell which way to move the fork.if it is in 1st move bar foward --2nd move bar rearward.you may have to use a block of some sort for your bar to lever against.
