A buddy of mine has a Case 300 and wants to rebuild the carburetor. I see a rivet that probably held an i.d. tag on the throttle body, but no tag. I think it looks like a Marvel-Schebler. Any ideas as to what model of carb this might be? I'm new to Case. Thanks for any ideas.

Most common factory gas carb was Marvel-Schebler TSX 635. I.D. tag is on the carb bowl body attached over the blind end of the choke shaft. As mounted that will be on the engine side. It is brass and over the years oxides, darkens and blends with the bowl coloring. Clean real good and check back there with a mirror.

Minor overhaul parts are common to most small bowl MS carbs and avail at Napa and other parts stores. Intermediate and full overhaul kits are are harder to find but still avail.
