To Date I have replaced the O'ring on the piston the O'ring on the piston sleeve and put new seals in the 3 point valve. I might add that it didn't change anything after resealing. What am I missing? Tom

If all else fails remove the remote valves, and look for cracks on the back side. Had this happen to a 930, and it would settle really bad, and not lift well when it was warmed up. Good Luck DK

As JH said, the problem is probably the valve. To be sure, raise hitch and block up, unbolt hitch valve and put shim stock between valve and top cover, blocking oil port to hitch cyl, fasten valve back down and unblock hitch. If hitch stays up, problem is definatley in valve. I"ve blocked hitch piston port with a tapered punch rather than using shim method also, though not safe. If valve is the culprit, after dissambley, and nothing found wrong, shorten lowering spool screw a couple turns and see if valve holds. If not, valve is cracked\bad, if it holds, readajust lowering spool to proper spec.

Thanks, I have been trying to come up with a way to isolate the valve and piston. I will give it a try soon I hope. Tom

If you have done all that well ,and still have the exact result ,,there has to be something wrong in the valve assembly ,,,Used tohave a 930 ,, its hydro refused to raise 3 pt at times , while the front blade would always lift ,,,,cam't remember exactly what we did to fix it ,,But we did get under the floor plate to fix her ,,My brother has a 970in his lineup ,I will ask him if he has seen this problem ,,Good Luck !Jim
