I have read that many plows don't work with a eagle hitch, Why not? #401 is nowhere near running , but I don't understand this incompatability. I thought the Eagle Hitch was a three point design that had different attachment mechanisms and a swinging drawbar. I'm new to this, so I just don't understand the hitch part. The mechanics of the rest of the tractor I can understand. Please let me know.

The Eagle hitch is a three point hitch but is not exactly the same as three point hitches as we know them today. First the lower arms do not sway but are are stationary from side movement. Second the third link does not attach at the same angle as other three point hitches, thus the lift rate could be greater or less, I'm not sure. Things like bush hjogs and scraper blades work fine but when you get something more touchy like a moldboard plow thing have to be pretty close to what the implement was designed for or it will never work right. I do know this that a three bottom plow off of a DC will work perfect on a regular three point because we used on for years just by changing the connecting pins to regular pins, instead of the bolt type that it came with, but the two bottom Eagle hitch plow from my VAC won't even work on a DC so figure that one out.
