I own a 1968 580CK that I start up and runs nice. I can drive it around and work with it, but as soon as I shut it off and try to start it up again it won't start. It acts like the starter has heated up and doesn't have enough juice to turn the motor. Any suggestions as to what might be wrong? any help is greatly appreciated

starter could be draging, rebuild or replace
battery cable, connection bad or too small, I use 00 wire.
battery bad, takes more power to start warm than cold unless it is very cold.
