Finally getting ready to put the heads back on my 800 gas. Seems the more I want to work on the tractor the bigger her honey-do list grows...LOL. It seems strange that there are only three o-rings, total, per head. The manual shows one at either end pushrod (and a 3rd one a bit offset) but here's my question - why wouldn't the middle two pushrods get an o-ring too? These are a flat o-ring, not the usual round ring...the upper gasket kit I got had a total of 4 pushrod o-rings to that all matches, just don't understand why the middle two push rods on each head go ringless.

Thanks in advance. I found more good practical advice on this board than carter has pills. All you old timers (and I mean that with the greatest respect!) are the best.
