Hey its been a while since I've been on the site. Been to busy with harvest and other tasks. Well my LA has not shown much progress but I just purchased a good used set of sleeves and a exhaust manifold off ebay so now I have pretty much everything I need to put the engine back together except rings and gaskets. (Hopeing to round everything up so I can put it together this fall or winter.) I know that a gasket kit is not available so I was wondering do most of you make your own gaskets or do you try to scrounge up all the diffrent ones by individual part #? I was kinda thinkin about makeing my own. Except for like the head gasket. Is Don L. The best one to get rings and gaskets from?

Gaskets and rings are available. You can get them from CaseIH or automotive parts house. FelPro makes a very nice gasket set, I believe the last rings I bought were Sealed Power.

Almost forgot - they are also available from some of the guys that post on this site. I have found Don L. and John Saeli to be very helpful, would not hesitate to buy from them.

gASKETS AND RINGS ARE READILY AVAILABLE, case used to have a good price on standard bore rings.
