Just about to buy first tractor for small farm. I am looking at this particular model that a neighbor has for sell. Seems to be in good shape. Is there anything one should know about this model? Going to mow with and maintain a gravel drive.
Thanks

O.K., I'll jump in since no one else is. I don't have a 3800, I have an 880. About the same thing w/different sheet metal and the 880 is diesel. I love the tractor, but since it's my first and only, that goes without saying. Should you buy it? Depends on price, condition, maintenance, is there a Case dealer around to get parts from, how many hours does it have, does it start right up, etc. David Browns are notorious for having problems with the hydraulics, mostly stuck, dirty valves. Keep them clean and serviced and it does not seem to be a problem.
