WHAT IS PROCEDURE TO REMOVEW OIL PAN ON A 1952 VAS, DOES IT NEED TO BROKE INTO OR THE FRONT END REMOVED? THE PAN WILL NOT COME DOEN DUE TO THE OIL PUMP CATCHING ON THE PAN. THANKS

Good morning, The only way to take off a oil pan on a VAS is take the front end off the tractor. Because the yoke from the front end isn't large enough on the drop the pan through the center of the yoke. It narrows to much to be able to drop the pan. And you can't spin it out of the way. Yes the oil pump and screen are in the way to remove the oil pan. There is nothing internally incorrect. Hope this helps. Jim Y

Amo, The oil pan should drop straight down without taking anything else loose. If it is catching on the oil pump, you may have internal problems.
