Hello,
I'm looking for a magneto for an 18-32 cross case. I've read that from 1925 they used a Bosch magneto. I am guessing that it was the same type (Bosch AT4) as on a 12-20. Could anyone confirm this?
Thanks for any help.
Andrew

Tough subject, there are errors in Full Steam ahead so take that into consideration, parts book 104 and Micro fish from case dated 1921 only list parts no serial number changes, they list an AT4-1C and a ZR4, Kingston model O, Berling EQ-41 and Splitdorf 46C, I would think if you had a fully functional magneto that appears to be the correct vintage, no one really would question it let alone having the correct impulse coupling they just are hard to find complete and functional, I have never seen any one argue this point yet most are happy to own one let alone one that runs, the true answer may be in the Case archives but that appears to be going no where right now, maybe someday alot of questions will get answers

Thanks for your reply Glenn. I thought there might have been an easy answer that I had not yet found! I'll look for a maggy of the type you suggest from your information. As you say a maggy of the right era won't look out of place. I've also got a 12-20 and it was lucky enough to have the remains of the AT4 from it to go on. I thought there might have been some people out there that could say "mine has a ... type magneto on it" etc that would give me more of an idea.
Thanks again for your help.
Regards
Andrew
